有人為了拉你作伴，把一個地方說得天花亂墜 但跟他到那裡之後，卻發現無聊得要死，你就可以說這句話表示「我們玩夠了沒？」言下之意是「一點都不好玩」，你想回家了。

a barrel of monkeys 字面直譯為「一整桶猴子」，原本是「很好玩」的意思，但實際上常用於諷刺某件事情或活動「很無趣，一點都不好玩」，真正的意思要視說話者的語氣及表情而定。

看到 fun 和 game 就想到嬉鬧、歡樂的氣氛，fun and games 就是在形容「不嚴肅， 很輕鬆」，但一般都用於否定句 (not) just fun and games，表示「沒有大家以 為的那麼輕鬆」。另一句 it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye 直譯為「有人瞎了一隻眼之前，都蠻好玩的」， 言下之意為「別嘻嘻哈哈的，小心樂極生悲」。

A: Being a tour guide seems like the perfect job.

poke fun at sb.
